SANDHILL CRANES

In this video you can see the process I went through for each of my Sandhill Cranes. Each sculpture is first formed in oil-based clay then put through the lost wax casting method to get to the finished bronze piece.

Why Wildlife Sculptures?

Wildlife sculpture can be used in a variety of ways, both aesthetically and functionally. As a form of decorative art, wildlife sculptures can add a natural element to interior or exterior spaces and can be used to evoke a sense of connection with the natural world. In a functional context, wildlife sculptures can be used as landmarks or symbols, such as a statue of a bear in a park or a fountain featuring aquatic animals. Wildlife sculptures can also be used to commemorate specific species or habitats, such as a bronze elephant statue in honor of conservation efforts. Additionally, wildlife sculptures can be used in educational settings, such as a museum exhibit showcasing different animals and their habitats. Overall, wildlife sculptures serve as a way to celebrate and pay homage to the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
